Key skills required: FIX Protocol Messaging, Java, C++, TIBCO, MQ Series, Capital Market Experience
Interact with clients to be practitioners on electronic trading systems engagements. Engagements range from business analysis to design and development to quality assurance and certification, and provide an opportunity to work with the top financial services companies in the world.
Responsibilities:
-Develop and recommend solutions based on customer needs across full lifecycle delivery: analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.
-Identify, design, and estimate technology solutions and architectures commensurate to client needs.
-Proactively identify technology inefficiencies and propose changes that may include process redesign and tool recommendations.
-Translate business requirements into technical quality assurance test cases.
-Evaluate system requirements, process flows and use cases.
-Ability to decipher specific documentation (including use case diagrams and definitions, database models, screen mockups, data dictionary, etc.)
-Create, execute, and track test cases based on use case definitions.
-Develop system and user acceptance test plans, test cases, regression tests, and ensure the overall quality of the product.
Qualifications:
-Set a comfortable tone, communicate effectively and encourage open communication.
-Make compelling presentations to a variety of audiences using visual aids, slide shows, and other media. Comfortable targeting messages to various client audiences.
-Understand client needs, identify root causes of problems, and develop and implement creative and pragmatic solutions.
-Expert problem-solver who sorts through complex issues and conducts comparative analysis of multiple solutions.
-Experience with MS Word, Excel, Visio.
-Working knowledge of the Capital Markets industry, specifically around electronic trading.
-Prior FIX messaging protocol experience with version 4.x-5.x.
-Experience coordinating software testing efforts and communicating issues and status to management.
-Knowledge of software development life cycle, automated analysis, QA cycle and modeling tools desired.
-1-3 years of software development or architecture in capital markets or related consulting industry (Java, C#).
-Experience with relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase and DB2.
-BA or BS degree in CS, MIS, Computer Information Systems, or a related field required.
-Some travel required up to 100%, but typically 50%.
-Ability to effectively work with various customer management levels and end-users with varying technical abilities.
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment; to be flexible and learn quickly.
-Ability to multi-task with attention to detail/prioritize tasks.
-Strong programming skills in Java or related.
-Committed team player who can function independently.
-Ability to develop rapport with client management and maintain strong working relationships.
-Familiarity with Electronic Trading, FIX Protocol variations, FIX Servers, and Order Management System concepts.
